Welcome to day 6, December 6th and St. Nikolaus Day, on the 24 Days of Christmas!
St. Nikolaus is another German Christmas tradition that happens each year on December 6th. Kids (and grown up) spend the evening of the 5th scrubbing and cleaning their boots to be filled with gifts by St. Nikolaus during his nightly visit. Or with coals, if they had been bad children and St. Nikolaus’ buddy Knecht Ruprecht filled them up. You also get tangerines, apples and nuts, so I am not sure if those gifts appear like coals to kids these days that would prefer chocolate.
In a celebration of this day, I put together a nice big bundle of goodies for you.
