Day 14 with free “Sweater Type” Alphabet – 24 Days of Christmas

Welcome to the 14th Day of Christmas!

It is ugly sweater time! You’ll find this tradition in many places and I love sweaters, so of course this is a hot item on my 24 Days of Christmas!

Today’s freebie is a set of sweater type letters to make up your own patterns and words!
The set includes 26 uppercase letters and one “blank” item; both come as .JPG and .EPS and an .AI Symbol Library (CC 2017) in the .ZIP.
I set them up in a way that you can just dock them next to each other in vector and raster software.

I recommend turning on “snap to point” and other tools that help you place the items. Or you could enter the values manually in the transform window.
If you want to change the colors, you can do so in Illustrator: Select all objects or symbols, go to “Edit > Edit Colors > Recolor Artwork…” and edit to your liking.

I was actually inspired to create this alphabet following this awesome tutorial by Chris Spooner of Spoongraphics: How To Create a Christmas Jumper Pattern in Illustrator
Check it out if you want to create your own pattern.

Let me know when you have used the alphabet, I would love to see what you have done with it.

I hope you enjoy this post and the freebie and I am wishing you a happy holiday season!
